Sneakers Nike
The company was founded in 1964 by Phil Knight, a middle-distance runner on the University of Oregon team, and his coach Bill Bowerman. For the first 14 years of its existence, the company was known as Blue Ribbon Sports. But the most famous sneakers in the world were called something else, gaining a new name and fresh ideas in 1971. Nike is movement, freedom, speed! The famous Swoosh combined these concepts, becoming the only logo that has a name. Its graphic component is a stylized depiction of the wing of the Greek goddess of victory, Nike, to whom the brand owes its name.
